We are truly excited to share a major milestone in our work in Sierra Leone: our team at Commit and Act Foundation Sierra Leone (CAF-SL) has officially opened a new office in Freetown, made possible through the generous financial support of German Doctors.
For us, this isn’t just another space with desks and walls, it’s a symbol of how much our work has grown, how deeply it is needed, and how much trust we’ve earned on the ground.

Why this office means so much...
Freetown is not only the capital of the country, but also the center of politics, administration, and media. With the new office, we at Commit and Act are now right in the heart of it all: accessible, visible, and well-connected.
Closer to partners and ministries
Our colleagues on the ground can now collaborate much more directly with the Ministry of Gender and Children’s Affairs, the Ministry of Health, and other key institutions. This means better coordination, faster solutions, and stronger networks.
A home for our work
Many people seeking help, partner organizations, and journalists now come directly to us. The office has become a place of connection, a space where our vision of safety, dignity, and transformation becomes tangible.
Visibility for our mission
To be honest, the fact that the office opening was even covered on national television deeply moved us. It shows that what we have been advocating for over many years, protection for girls, nonviolent relationships, and mental health, is gaining public recognition.

Gratitude for a strong partnership
German Doctors have stood by us for many years as committed partners. Together, we implement vital projects, particularly in the areas of FGM prevention, psychosocial support, and empowerment for girls and women. With them by our side, we were also able to open this office.
We are incredibly grateful for this collaboration built on mutual respect and for the shared trust in our local teams, especially in Bo, Makeni, and now Freetown.
This step strengthens our voice, our network, and our hope.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
